Antilia Homes was founded by Ravi Shanghavi with a clear conviction: Ottawa needs more housing, it needs it in established neighbourhoods close to transit and services, and it needs to be built better and faster than conventional methods allow. Over more than twelve years, Antilia has built that practice from the ground up — acquiring difficult sites, solving complex approvals, and constructing residential units across multiple locations in Ottawa.

The company is not a conventional production builder or a custom home firm. Antilia operates across the full housing delivery chain: finding sites, unlocking zoning constraints, coordinating design, building efficiently, and managing rental assets for the long term. That integration — development, construction, and property management within one organization — is what allows Antilia to control quality and cost across a project’s entire lifecycle.

Who We Are

Antilia Homes is a builder-developer led by Ravi Shanghavi, who brings more than 20 years of construction and development experience to every project. The company has delivered residential projects across Ottawa’s most active infill neighbourhoods and is advancing a growing pipeline of modular, purpose-built rental, and transit-oriented development opportunities.

Our work spans semis, townhomes, stacked units, and small apartment buildings, with a growing focus on mid-density modular construction and larger mixed-use sites near Ottawa’s LRT corridors.

Our Approach

We take projects from concept to occupancy. That means Ravi and the Antilia team are involved at every stage — site acquisition, feasibility, approvals, design coordination, construction management, and rental operations. There is no handoff between a separate development team, construction team, and management company. The same people are accountable throughout, which keeps projects on track and reduces the gaps where quality and cost typically erode.

Antilia is building a modular and modern methods of construction program that is becoming one of our most significant competitive advantages. Factory-built construction, standardized building designs, and repeatable details allow us to deliver housing with more speed and consistency than conventional site-built methods — particularly on Ottawa’s tighter urban lots where site disruption and construction timelines create real challenges. We are not marketing modular as a concept; we are executing it.
